Many of the most popular medications were pulled from drug formularies in 2017, so people turned to prescription drug cards for help.
And the first drugs pulled from prescription plans are typically those that are deemed by some faceless bureaucrat as elective or "not medically necessary". Many times formularies are set up to force you to take the cheapest generic first, then the more expensive generic than the brand that's been around for awhile but may not quite be right for you.
